Roons Garage is a personal car-content channel run by one person. This page explains what happens to data in connection with this site and the tools behind it.

What this site collects

roonsgarage.com is a static site. It has no accounts, no login, no comment box and no contact form. It does not ask you for personal information and does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which records standard anonymous request data (page requested, approximate region, browser type) to serve pages and measure traffic volume. That data is not linked to you personally and is not sold or shared.

The Roons Garage Uploader application

A private application called Roons Garage Uploader publishes videos to the Roons Garage YouTube channel on a schedule. It is used by the site owner only and is not offered to the public.

• It requests the Google account permissions youtube.upload and youtube.readonly.
• It uses them for exactly two things: uploading videos to the owner’s own channel, and reading that channel’s recent uploads to avoid posting the same video twice.
• It reads no other Google data — not Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Calendar or profile information.
• The access credential is stored as an encrypted secret in the job runner that performs the uploads. It is never shared, sold, or transferred to anyone.
• No data obtained through Google APIs is used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to build user profiles.

Its use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third-party platforms

Videos are also published to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. Anything you do on those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
